Extensions Everybody

Hair extensions are very popular amongst celebrities. Most celebrities take the time to look for a good hair stylist. The hair stylist is usually someone who can travel at a moment's notice. Not all of us have the money to hire a traveling hairstylist. So, it is important to find a good hairstylist that is in your area. You can use the search feature above to search for a hair stylist in your area.
There's many different brands of hair extensions, in fact so many at times it's hard to choose from them all, to name a few
  1. Velvet Remi Yaki Weave http
  2. Remi Goddess Body Wave Weave
  3. Remi Goddess French Refined Wave Weave
  4. Ego Remy
  5. Saga Gold Remi Yaky
  6. Velvet Virgin Indian Remi

And the list literally goes on and on, bit hose are some of the better brands. Now when buying remy hair, it's come with a hefty price tag, but some of your neighborhood beauty supply store normally run sale like " Buy one pack of remi, get the other for a % off". You can also purchase it online @ some site that also run sales like http://http://www.hairsisters.com/ver2/index.php, http://http://www.clairhair.com/en/index.php, http://http://www.perfectlocks.com/. Ohhh, you can always contact me also you know, this is what I do.

"Philadelphia" Spa & Salon Directory

As listed in this month's issue of Allure Magazine

Ame Salon & Spa
Rice Milk & Honey Pedicure, $60
111 Waynewood Ave.Wayne, PA610-995-2631
There's a dull sameness to many pedicures. But with one surveying glance at the salon's custom-made banquettes, we knew there was nothing cookie-cutter about Ame. After a warm-milk foot bath, our pedicurist painted our lower legs with heated honey to restore moisture and soothe the redness of our fair skin. Inspired to shake the status quo, we decided to pass on our tried-and-true (and somewhat tired) red polish for a punchy fuchsia.

Rittenhouse Manicure & Spa
Manicure, $20; pedicure, $30 268 S. 20th St. 215-546-4501
We were always taught to share—but this neighborhood spot subscribes to a different policy. As soon as we showed up for our appointment, our manicurist produced a box containing brand-new tools, which she explained were "just for us" and would be set aside until our next visit at no extra charge. She escorted us to a comfy chair and got to work buffing, trimming, and filing before treating us to a hot-stone hand massage that traveled all the way up to our elbows. Call us greedy, but we couldn't resist booking a pedicure as well.

Water Unlimited
Purist Manicure, $16 1114 Pine St.215-629-1199
Like dinner parties, nail salons are more enjoyable when they're small and intimate. Water Unlimited, with its serene, six-station room and aim-to-please service, fits the bill. Our nails were filed exactly the way we'd requested—to just below the fingertip—and then all ridges were buffed smooth. Next, a thick exfoliator was massaged on our hands, left to dry for a minute or two, and then rinsed away, revealing silky skin. Our manicurist wisely applied a ridge-filler before painting on a navy blue polish. The result was as smooth as glass and so resistant to chipping it looked flawless for more than a week.

Rocking stunning pink lipstick!

I always admired her style on the red carpet, not so well on her hit series "Big Love", but overall she's amazing. This is her @ Kiehl's Party on April 10th hosting, wearing a black Opening Ceremony mini-dress (natch) and totally inspiring for spring electric pink lipstick.

Aloe

Aloe is the newest "it" ingredient in skincare. No, seriously—the same plant your mom swiped on to soothe your childhood sunburns. I hear it can work wonders!

Blog Name Creator!

When I created my blog, I was wondered what would I name it. I thought of different things, even seen some good ones such as....Cosmetology Rabbit, Cosmetology Tron, Pumping Cosmetology (I thought was kinda cool!) Adverse of the Cosmetology, Tight Kitty of the Cosmetology Sea (lol) and the list goes on and on. But then I started kicking around some words that had meaning, and I looked in the dictionary (that being google) and I typed in "Presence" meaning "The state or fact of being present; current existence or occurrence." So, thats how I came about my name for my blog.

The great "Madame C.J. Walker "

Her fortune was made by developing and marketing a hugely successful line of beauty and hair products for black women, under the company she founded Madam C.J. Walker Manufacturing Company. The Guinness Book of Records cites Walker as the first female who became a millionaire by her own achievements.
In
2002, scholar Molefi Kete Asante listed Madam C. J. Walker on his list of 100 Greatest African Americans.

"I am a woman who came from the cotton fields of the South. From there I was promoted to the washtub. From there I was promoted to the cook kitchen. And from there I promoted myself into the business of manufacturing hair goods and preparations...I have built my own factory on my own ground."

Many people don't know how she (Sarah Breedlove McWilliams Walker) came about making hair care products. During the 1890s, Sarah began to suffer from a scalp ailment that caused her to lose some of her hair. Embarrassed by her appearance, she experimented with a variety of home-made remedies and products made by another black woman entrepreneur, Annie Malone. In 1905, Sarah became a sales agent for Malone and moved to Denver, where she married Charles Joseph Walker.

Changing her name to Madame C. J. Walker, Sarah founded her own business and began selling her own product called Madam Walker's Wonderful Hair Grower, a scalp conditioning and healing formula. To promote her products, she embarked on an exhausting sales drive throughout the South and Southeast selling her products door to door, giving demonstrations, and working on sales and marketing strategies. In 1908, she opened a college in Pittsburgh to train her "hair culturists."

Madam Walker died on May 25, 1919, at age 51, at her estate Villa Lewaro. She passed away because of kidney failure and other complications resulting from hypertension. She was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx.
